Isoetes tenella (also called Tenellum Quillwort, among many other common names) is a small, aquatic fern native to temperate regions of North America. It has a glossy, bright green frond with a triangular shape and a short, creeping rhizome. It grows in shallow water, often in the margins of ponds or streams.
