Isoetes kirkii (also called New Zealand Quillwort, among many other common names) is a small, perennial, aquatic plant that grows in tufts. It is native to New Zealand and grows in shallow water bodies such as ponds, lakes, and streams. Its leaves are linear and narrow and its sporangia are borne on short, slender stalks.
