Description
Streptocarpus pogonites (also called Pogon Streptocarpus, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Gesneriaceae. It is native to South Africa, and grows in rocky, grassy, and shrubby habitats.
Cultivation and Propagation
Streptocarpus pogonites is a low-growing, evergreen perennial with rosettes of oval, dark green leaves and clusters of small, funnel-shaped, white flowers in summer. It is best grown in a moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade. Propagate by division in spring or autumn.
