Description
Paraboea patens (also called spreading paraboea, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Gesneriaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia, and is found in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. It grows in tropical and subtropical forests, as well as in grasslands.

Paraboea patens has small, white flowers with five petals and a yellow center. Its seeds are small and round, and its seedlings are small and green with a single pair of leaves.
