Description
Monophyllaea glandulosa (also called 'Glandular Monophyllaea', among many other common names) is a small, herbaceous, perennial plant native to South America. It has a single, smooth, oblong-shaped leaf and produces small white flowers. It grows in moist, shady areas, such as in the understory of tropical forests.

Monophyllaea glandulosa has small, white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and glossy. The seedlings are slender with long, narrow leaves.

Monophyllaea glandulosa is native to South Africa, and can be found in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Limpopo provinces.
