Description

Columnea paramicola (also called paramicola columnea, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that grows up to 15 feet tall. It is native to Central and South America, and is found in dry, rocky, open woods and thickets. Its leaves are alternate, simple, and ovate in shape, with a smooth margin and a pointed tip. The bark is gray and smooth.
