Description

Gentiana laevigata (also called Smooth Gentian, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows to a height of 10-30 cm. It is native to the Alps and Carpathians, and is found in meadows and pastures at altitudes of 1000-3000 m. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with a solitary flower.
