Description
Frullania bolanderi (also called Bolander's Leafy Liverwort, among many other common names) is a small, perennial, leafy liverwort. It is found in western North America, from British Columbia to California, and grows in moist, shaded habitats such as in forests and along streams.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Frullania bolanderi has small, yellow-green flowers with 6 tepals. Its seeds are small and brown, and its seedlings are small and have a single leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Frullania bolanderi can be propagated by division or by spores. It can be cultivated in a moist, shady environment with plenty of air circulation. The soil should be acidic and well-draining. It should be kept in a temperature range of 60-75°F (15-24°C) and should be watered regularly.
