Samanea inopinata (also called Pink Silk Tree, Pink Saman, and many other common names) is a species of tree in the Fabaceae family. It is native to Central and South America, and is found in a variety of habitats, from dry deciduous forests to rainforests and mangroves. It typically grows up to 15 metres tall, with a trunk up to 1 metre in diameter.
