Description

Podalyria calyptrata (also called Cape Silver-pod, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to the Western Cape of South Africa. It has a rounded crown and grows to a height of up to 4 m. The leaves are alternate, simple, and have a leathery texture. The flowers are white and grow in clusters. It is found in fynbos and renosterveld habitats.
