Description

Indigofera achyranthoides (also called achyranthes indigo, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the mountains of western China. It has a short stem, and its leaves are alternate, with a single, oblong-lanceolate leaf blade. It grows in rocky, alpine meadows and grasslands, at elevations of 2,000–4,000 m.

Indigofera achyranthoides is an evergreen shrub that is native to South Africa. It grows to a height of up to 2 m (6 ft). It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is best done by seed, which should be sown in spring. The seeds should be sown in a light, sandy soil and covered lightly with soil. The seedlings should be transplanted when they are large enough to handle. The plants should be spaced about 30 cm (12 in) apart.
