Description
Hymenaea maranhensis (also called Maranhão Copal, among many other common names) is a tree species of the Hymenaea genus native to Brazil. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 25 meters tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 1.2 meters. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, as well as in dry forests and savannas.
