Description

Hymenaea aurea (also called Brazilian Copal, among many other common names) is a tree species of the Hymenaea genus native to Central and South America. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 30 meters tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 1.5 meters. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, as well as in dry forests and savannas.
