Description

Harpalyce speciosa (also called Showy Harpalyce, among many other common names) is a shrub native to South America. It grows up to 4 meters tall and has an erect habit. The leaves are alternate, oblong to elliptic, and up to 7 cm long. The flowers are white to pinkish and the fruit is a capsule. It is found in dry to moist forests, scrub and savannas.
