Description

Derris heyneana (also called Heyne's Derris, among many other common names) is a large shrub or small tree native to India and Sri Lanka. It has a dense, upright habit and grows up to 10m tall. The leaves are compound, with up to 20 leaflets. The flowers are small and yellow, and the fruit is a flat, brown pod. It grows in tropical and subtropical forests, as well as in disturbed areas.
