Colutea armena (also called Armenian Colutea, among many other common names) is a perennial shrub native to Southern Europe and North Africa. It has a woody rootstock and slender, branched stems. The leaves are alternate, lanceolate, and entire. The flowers are yellow and the fruit is a capsule. It grows in dry, rocky slopes and meadows.
