Description

Cercis chingii (also called Chinese Redbud, among many other common names) is a small deciduous tree or large shrub with a rounded crown and a spreading habit. It has glossy, dark green leaves, which turn yellow in autumn. Its clusters of pink flowers appear in early spring before the leaves. Native to China, it grows in moist, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. It is hardy to USDA Zone 6.
