Astragalus bijugus (also called two-forked milkvetch, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia. It has a short stem, and its leaves are alternate, with a single, oblong-lanceolate leaf blade. It grows in grasslands, meadows, and open woodlands, at elevations of up to 2,000 m.

Astragalus bijugus is an evergreen shrub that is native to the Mediterranean region. It grows to a height of up to 1.5 m (5 ft). It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. The seedlings should be transplanted when they are large enough to handle. The plants should be spaced about 30 cm (12 in) apart.
