Description

Codiaeum megalanthum (also called Garden croton, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing to 3–6 m tall, with leathery, glossy, oblong to lanceolate leaves, 10–30 cm long and 3–10 cm broad, with a variable pattern of yellow, orange, red, purple, and green. It is grown as an ornamental plant for its brightly coloured foliage.
