Description
Codiaeum megalanthum (also called Garden croton, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing to 3–6 m tall, with leathery, glossy, oblong to lanceolate leaves, 10–30 cm long and 3–10 cm broad, with a variable pattern of yellow, orange, red, purple, and green. It is grown as an ornamental plant for its brightly coloured foliage.

The flower of Codiaeum megalanthum is a yellowish-green spikelet, the seed is a small, black, shiny seed, and the seedlings are small and green.
Cultivation and Propagation
Codiaeum megalanthum can be propagated by stem cuttings. Cuttings should be taken in spring or summer and planted in moist, well-drained soil in a warm, sunny position.
