Description
Acalypha nubicola (also called 'Nubicola Acalypha', among many other common names) is a terrestrial orchid species native to Madagascar. It has an erect stem, up to about 25 cm tall, with two to four leaves. The flowers are white, with a yellowish-green labellum. It grows in humid, shady places, such as rainforests.

Acalypha nubicola has small, white flowers with yellow-green lips. The seed is a small, round, black seed with a white center. The seedlings are small, with a single pair of leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Acalypha nubicola is a terrestrial shrub that grows in grasslands and open woodlands. It is easy to cultivate and propagate. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun. To propagate, take stem cuttings in early spring or autumn. The plant can also be propagated by seed. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained potting mix and kept moist. Germination usually takes place within a few weeks.
