Description
Eriocaulon smitinandii (also called Smitinand's Pipewort, among many other common names) is a small, herbaceous perennial plant native to Thailand. It has a basal rosette of linear leaves and a single, slender flower stem with a solitary flower head. It grows in moist, shady places such as wet meadows, grasslands, and along streams.
Cultivation and Propagation
Eriocaulon smitinandii is a tropical plant that is native to Thailand and Vietnam. It is best grown in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. Propagation is best done by division of the clumps in spring or early summer. It can also be propagated from seed, but this is not recommended as the seeds are difficult to germinate.
