Description
Encalypta peruviana (also called Peruvian encalypta, among many other common names) is a species of moss in the family Encalyptaceae. It is a small, yellow-green moss with a short, erect habit. It is native to Europe, Asia, and North America, and typically grows in wet, acidic habitats.
Cultivation and Propagation
Encalypta peruviana can be propagated by spore or vegetative means. It is best grown in moist, shady areas with plenty of organic matter in the soil. It prefers a pH range of 5.5 to 6.5 and can tolerate some drought. It can be propagated by division of clumps or by stem cuttings.
