Description
Elaeocarpus nooteboomii (also called Nooteboom's Elaeocarpus, among many other common names) is a small to medium-sized tree, growing up to 15 m tall. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of India, Sri Lanka, southern China, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is found in evergreen and semi-evergreen forests, as well as in dry deciduous forests.

The flowers of Elaeocarpus nooteboomii are small, white and bell-shaped. The seeds are small and round, with a hard outer shell. The seedlings are small and delicate, with light green leaves.
