Description

Hippophae gyantsensis (also called Tibetan sea buckthorn, among many other common names) is a species of sea buckthorn native to the Himalayas, in Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Tibet. It is a shrub or small tree growing to 3–5 m tall, with spiny branches. It is found in alpine and subalpine habitats, at elevations of 3,000–5,000 m.
