Description
Diospyros uzungwaensis (also called Uzungwa Ebony, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Ebenaceae family. It is a small evergreen tree that can reach up to 10 meters in height, with a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm. It is native to tropical Africa, from Senegal to Ethiopia and south to Angola and Mozambique. It prefers dry, sandy soils and is found in dry deciduous forests and woodlands.
