Diospyros palauensis (also called Black Sapote, Chocolate Pudding Fruit, and Zapote Negro, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Ebenaceae family. It is native to Central America and northern South America. It is a small evergreen tree that can reach up to 15 meters in height. It prefers tropical climates and is typically found in lowland forests.
