Description
Dioscorea orthogoneura (also called 'Straight-veined Yam' and 'Straight-veined Yam Bush', among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree with a rounded crown and a smooth, grey bark. It is native to tropical Africa and is found in woodlands, savannas, and along riverbanks. It has large, glossy, dark green leaves and produces white, bell-shaped flowers.
