Description

Carex shanghangensis (also called Shanghang sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial, rhizomatous sedge native to China. It has a clump-forming habit, with erect stems that reach up to 40 cm in height. Its leaves are linear, and its inflorescence is a dense, cylindrical spike. It grows in moist to wet soils in grasslands, meadows, and along streams and lakes.
