Carex hanseniana (also called Hansen's Sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial sedge species native to North America. It is a tufted, medium-sized sedge with broad, flat leaves and a spike-like inflorescence. It grows in moist to wet meadows, swamps, and bogs, and along streambanks and lake margins.
