                        Description
                        
                            Carex hanamninhensis (also called Hanamaki Sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial plant native to Asia. It grows in moist, shady habitats such as woods, swamps, and wet meadows. It has a clumping habit and its leaves are green and long, with a sharp-pointed tip. The flower spikes are greenish-brown and the flowers are small and inconspicuous.

                            Carex hanamninhensis is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and landscapes. It is also used to stabilize soil on slopes and in wet areas.
