Description
Carex exsiccata (also called Dried Sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial sedge with a clump-forming habit, growing up to 60 cm tall. It is native to North America, where it is found in dry meadows, marshes, and along streams. It has long, narrow, green leaves and small, yellow-brown flowers.

Carex exsiccata has small, yellow-brown flowers that are borne in dense spikes. The seeds are small, dark brown and shiny. The seedlings are short, with narrow leaves.
