Cyathea aemula (also called Aemula Tree Fern, among many other common names) is a species of tree fern in the Cyathea genus. It is native to the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, and is typically found growing in moist, shady habitats.

Cyathea aemula has small, white flowers with five petals, and its seeds are small, black and shiny. Its seedlings have a single cotyledon and a pair of opposite leaves.
