Description
Alsophila henryi (also called Polypody, among many other common names) is a fern species in the family Polypodiaceae. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, Africa, and Asia. It typically grows in moist, shady habitats, such as rainforests, cloud forests, and tropical montane forests.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Alsophila henryi has small, white flowers that are about 1/4 inch in diameter. The flowers are borne in clusters of three to five at the ends of the stems. The seeds are small, dark brown and oval-shaped. The seedlings have long, narrow leaves that are greenish-brown in color.
