Description
Alsophila cicatricosa (also called Ciliate tree fern, among many other common names) is a species of tree fern native to New Zealand. It has a trunk that is up to 1.5 m tall, with a crown of arching fronds up to 3 m long. It is found in moist forests, often near streams and in gullies.
