Description

Alsophila brevipinna (also called Short-pinned tree fern, among many other common names) is a species of tree fern native to New Zealand. It has a trunk that is up to 1 m tall, with a crown of arching fronds up to 2 m long. It is found in moist forests, often near streams and in gullies.
