                        Description
                        
                            Gynostemma pentagynum (also called Five-stamen jiaogulan, among many other common names) is a perennial vine of the family Cucurbitaceae. It is native to China, Japan, and Korea. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as thickets, forests, and roadsides.
