                        Cultivation and Propagation

Coccinia intermedia is a succulent that grows in full sun to partial shade in dry, well-drained soils. Propagation is done by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a seed tray and covered lightly with soil. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, they can be transplanted into individual pots and grown on in a greenhouse or cold frame until they are large enough to plant out in their permanent positions. Cuttings can also be taken in spring or summer and rooted in a pot of moist compost.
