                        Description
                        
                            Cionosicys excisus (also called 'Excised Cionosicys', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Bromeliaceae family. It is native to Colombia, and is found in the Andean montane forests. It is an epiphytic plant with a rosette of stiff, leathery leaves, and a tall, branched inflorescence with bright yellow or orange bracts.
