Description
Cayaponia duckei (also called Ducke's Cayaponia, among many other common names) is a herbaceous perennial of the Cucurbitaceae family. It is native to the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and can be found in humid montane forests at elevations of 1,500-3,000 m. It grows up to 1 m tall and has narrow, lanceolate leaves.

Cultivation and Propagation
Cayaponia duckei is a fast-growing, perennial vine that can be propagated from cuttings or seeds. Cuttings should be taken from the tip of the vine and planted in a well-drained soil. The soil should be kept moist but not wet. Seeds should be sown in a moist, well-drained soil and kept at a temperature of 70-80°F (21-27°C). The seedlings should be transplanted when they are 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) tall.
