Description

Licania riedelii (also called Riedel's Licania, among many other common names) is a small tree or shrub that is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. It has a dense crown of leaves, with oblong-lanceolate leaves that are dark green and glossy on the upper surface and pale green and slightly hairy on the underside. It is found in humid tropical forests, often in areas with sandy soils.
