Hirtella papillata (also called Brazilian Cherry, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Chrysobalanaceae. It is native to Central and South America. It is a small tree or shrub, growing to 5 m (16 ft) tall, with a trunk up to 10 cm (4 in) diameter. It is found in humid forests, often near rivers.
