                            Salacia reticulata (also called 'Netted Salacia', among many other common names) is a shrub native to India, Sri Lanka, and the Andaman Islands. It grows in evergreen forests, and is characterized by its opposite, ovate leaves and its yellowish-white flowers.

                            Salacia reticulata is used as an ornamental plant and as a medicinal plant. Its leaves and bark are used to treat fever, headaches, and digestive problems. It is also used as a food source, as its fruits are edible.                             Salacia reticulata is a fast-growing shrub that can reach heights of up to 3 metres. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is best done by cuttings, which should be taken from semi-ripe wood in late summer or early autumn. The cuttings should be placed in a moist, well-draining potting mix and kept in a warm, bright location.
