Description
Centropogon ewanii (also called Lavenderbells, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the tropical regions of Central and South America. It grows in moist, shady habitats, and has long, slender stems with small, bell-shaped flowers that are usually lavender in color.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Centropogon ewanii has white flowers with yellow centers and small, black seeds. The seedlings are small and have thin, delicate stems.
Cultivation and Propagation
Centropogon ewanii can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining soil mix and kept moist and warm. Cuttings should be taken from healthy plants and placed in a moist, well-draining soil mix. Both methods should be kept in a warm, bright location with indirect light.
