                        Description
                        
                            Portea filifera (also called 'Hairy-leaved Portea' or 'Hairy-leaved Bird's-nest', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Bromeliaceae. It is an epiphytic plant with long, narrow leaves and small, white flowers. It is native to tropical regions of Central and South America, and is often found in moist, shady habitats.
