Description
Fosterella kroemeri (also called Kroemer's fosterella, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Bromeliaceae family. It is native to Brazil, and is found in dry, rocky habitats. It is a small herbaceous plant that grows to a height of 10–20 cm.
Uses & Benefits
Fosterella kroemeri is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a hedge plant. It is also used for its medicinal properties in traditional African medicine.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Fosterella kroemeri has small, white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. Its seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are small and have two opposite leaves.
