Fernseea itatiaiae is an evergreen shrub that prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Propagation is usually done through cuttings or by seed. Seeds should be sown in spring or summer in a well-drained seedling mix and kept moist until germination occurs. The seedlings should be transplanted into individual pots when they are large enough to handle.
