                        Description
                        
                            Alcantarea intermedia (also called Alcantarea intermedia var. intermedia, among many other common names) is a species of bromeliad in the Bromeliaceae family. It is a large perennial plant, usually reaching a height of around 2 meters. It is native to Brazil, and is found in tropical and subtropical forests. It is found in the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais.
