                            Alcantarea compacta (also called Alcantarea compacta, among many other common names) is a species of bromeliad native to Brazil. It is a large, evergreen plant with long, narrow leaves and small, white flowers.

                            Alcantarea compacta is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a source of food.
