Description
Isatis mardinensis (also called Mardin Woad, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the mustard family Brassicaceae. It is native to the Caucasus, Turkey, and Iran. It grows in dry, rocky places, often on limestone, at elevations of 500–2,000 m.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Isatis mardinensis are yellow, with a white center. The seeds are small, black and oval-shaped. The seedlings are small, with a single pair of leaves.
