Description
Brachythecium nivale (also called Snowy Brachythecium, among many other common names) is a moss species found in Japan, Korea, China, and the Russian Far East. It is a small, tufted moss with a short stem and a few leaves. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as woodlands, forests, and grasslands.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Brachythecium nivale has small, white flowers with four petals, and its seeds are small and black. Its seedlings have narrow, linear leaves.
